How the commons works
Peer review is unfunded, opaque, and impossible to audit.
The Commons prices it, blinds it, and signs it.
Ground truth, chunked & cited
Every object is decomposed into provenance-tagged chunks — findings, syntheses, citations. A finding cites the chunk it disputes, not a general impression.
Blind by construction
Author and funder stay sealed from the reviewer until a bounty is claimed, and reviewer identity stays sealed from both, always. Independence is a gate, not a policy.
Priced in fiat, never a token
Bounties are funded in dollars, paid on accepted findings. No token sits between the work and the pay — and no one can fund review of their own work.
Signed, portable reputation
Every submitted review mints a stamp, ORCID and GPG signed. It travels with the reviewer, federated across the commons — not held by any one platform.
